Himalayan Hermitage, the Myth of the Thrown Spear, and Rules of Vedic Study
iti śrīmahābhārate śāntiparvaṇi mokṣadharmaparvaṇi yājñavalkya-janaka-saṃvāde caturdaśādhika-triśatatamo 'dhyāyaḥ
This line is a colophon rather than a doctrinal verse; it frames the preceding material as a completed instructional dialogue on mokṣa-dharma—how liberation is pursued through right understanding, disciplined conduct, and inner detachment, even within worldly roles.
The text formally closes the chapter and identifies its placement: Śānti Parva → Mokṣa-dharma section → the Yājñavalkya–Janaka dialogue. It functions as an editorial marker that the conversation and its teaching unit have concluded.
