Śukasya Janma-yoga-phalaṁ — Vyāsasya Tapasā Putrārthaḥ (Śānti-parva 310)

iti śrīmahābhārate śāntiparvaṇi mokṣadharmaparvaṇi yājñavalkya-janaka-saṃvāde daśādhika-triśatatamo 'dhyāyaḥ

Educational Q&A

As a colophon, this line does not state a new doctrine; it signals that the preceding instruction belongs to Mokṣadharma—guidance oriented toward liberation (mokṣa) through right understanding, disciplined living, and insight into the self.

The text formally closes the chapter of the Yājñavalkya–Janaka dialogue within the Śānti Parva, indicating that this portion of the Mahābhārata is a reflective, didactic setting where sages instruct rulers on peace, duty, and liberation after the war.
