उपसूष्टेषु दान्तेषु दुराचारेषु साधुषु । अविनीतेषु लुब्धेषु सुमहद् दण्डधारणम्
upasūṣṭeṣu dānteṣu durācāreṣu sādhuṣu | avinīteṣu lubdheṣu sumahad daṇḍadhāraṇam ||
Нарада сказал: где даже владеющих собой притесняют, где с добродетельными обходятся жестоко и где верх берут необузданные и алчные, — пусть там и налагают наказания с крайней суровостью, — в такой стране нельзя жить без тщательного раздумья.
