शिल्पिक: शिसल्पिनां श्रेष्ठ: सर्वशिल्पप्रवर्तक: । भगनेत्राड्कुशश्वण्ड: पूष्णो दन्‍तविनाशन:

śilpikaḥ śilpināṁ śreṣṭhaḥ sarvaśilpapravartakaḥ | bhaganetrāṅkuśaśvaṇḍaḥ pūṣṇo dantavināśanaḥ ||

Бхишма сказал: Он — первейший среди мастеров, источник и побудитель всякого ремесла. Он — тот, кто выбил глаз Бхаге, кто сокрушил зубы Пушану, и кто держит погоняло-крюк и посох — памятуемый по знакам своей яростной, исправляющей силы. Этот стих являет нравственное видение: когда нарушается порядок, даже боги бывают удержаны; и та же сила, что разрушает, утверждает дисциплины, благодаря которым могут расцветать искусства и обязанности общества.
