जब ब्रह्माजीने इस प्रकार कहा और यज्ञमें भाग मिलनेकी भी व्यवस्था हो गयी, तब महादेवजी अमिततेजस्वी भगवान् ब्रह्मासे इस प्रकार बोले--“तथास्तु' ऐसा ही हो ।।
tathāstu—ity evaṃ bhavatu. parāṃ ca prītim agamad utsmayan caiva pinākadhṛk | avāpa ca tadā bhāgaṃ yathoktaṃ brahmaṇā bhavaḥ ||
Бхишма сказал: «Когда Брахма сказал так и также устроил, чтобы в жертвоприношении была отведена доля, Махадева, сияющий неизмеримой мощью, ответил Брахме: “Да будет так; пусть будет именно так”. Тогда носящий лук Пинака, улыбаясь, исполнился глубокой удовлетворённости, и Бхава (Шива) получил в тот миг жертвенную долю в точности так, как провозгласил Брахма.»
