तत् प्रेक्ष्य तादृशं रूप॑ त्रैलोक्येनापि दुर्जयम् । वृत्रस्य देवा: संत्रस्ता न शान्तिमुपलेभिरे,वृत्रासुरका वह वैसा रूप, जो तीनों लोकोंके लिये भी दुर्जय था, देखकर देवतालोग डर गये। उन्हें शान्ति नहीं मिलती थी
tat prekṣya tādṛśaṁ rūpaṁ trailokyenāpi durjayam | vṛtrasya devāḥ saṁtrastā na śāntim upalebhire ||
Увидев столь грозный облик Вритры — непобедимый даже для трёх миров, — боги были охвачены страхом. Потрясённые и смятенные, они не могли обрести душевного покоя.
भीष्म उवाच
Even the powerful can be overwhelmed by fear when confronted with seemingly unconquerable force; steadiness (śānti) is not automatic but must be regained through right counsel, resolve, and alignment with dharma.
Bhīṣma describes how the gods, upon seeing Vṛtra’s formidable and nearly invincible form, become terrified and lose their inner peace, setting the stage for seeking a means to overcome the crisis.
