तथाविष्टमथो ज्ञात्वा ऋषयो देवतास्तथा । स्तुवन्त: शक्रमीशानं तथा प्राचोदयन्नपि,इस प्रकार वृत्रासुरमें महादेवजीके ज्वरका आवेश हुआ जान देवता और ऋषि देवेश्वर इन्द्रकी स्तुति करते हुए उन्हें वृत्रवधके लिये प्रेरणा देने लगे

tathāviṣṭam atho jñātvā ṛṣayo devatās tathā | stuvantaḥ śakram īśānaṃ tathā prācodayann api ||

Бхишма сказал: Узнав, что Вритра оказался так охвачен тем всеподавляющим недугом, риши и боги начали славить Шакру (Индру), владыку, и вместе с тем побуждали его идти вперёд, понуждая к убиению Вритры.
