Transliteration

sannimajjej jagad idaṃ gambhīre kāla-sāgare | jarā-mṛtyu-mahā-grāhe na kaścid avabudhyate ||

Translation

Царь Джанака сказал: «Весь этот мир тонет в глубоком океане Времени, где подстерегают великие крокодилы — старость и смерть; и всё же никто по-настоящему не пробуждается к этой истине».
