कपिलगोसंवादे गृहस्थ-त्यागधर्मयोः प्रमाण्यविचारः

किसी समय माता-पिता उनको छोड़कर उड़ गये। अब वे बच्चे कभी आकर फिर चले जाते और जाकर फिर चले आते थे, इस प्रकार वे सदा आने-जाने लगे। उस समयतक जाजलि मुनि हिले-डुले नहीं ।।
tathā te divasaṃ cāpi gatvā sāyaṃ punar nṛpa | upāvartanta tatraiva nivāsārthaṃ śakuntakāḥ ||
Бхишма сказал: «О царь, те птенцы улетали на весь день добывать корм и, когда наступал вечер, возвращались в то же место на ночлег. Так установился их ровный круговорот уходов и возвращений, а мудрец Джаджали оставался неподвижен — терпел, наблюдал и не нарушал естественного хода жизни».
