Satya-lakṣaṇa (The Characteristics and Forms of Truth) |
sa mayā bahuśo bhagnaḥ prabhañjan vai prabhañjanaḥ | tasmān na bibhe devarṣe kruddhād api samīraṇāt ||
The verse highlights fearlessness grounded in spiritual power and self-mastery: one who has repeatedly restrained disruptive forces (symbolized by the wind) is not shaken even by their anger. Ethically, it points to steadiness and inner strength rather than intimidation by external turbulence.
Nārada addresses another divine seer and asserts his capability: he has many times checked the destructive motion of the wind (Prabhañjana/Samīraṇa). Hence, even if the wind becomes furious, Nārada claims he has no fear of it.
