लोकयात्रार्थमेवेह धर्मप्रवचनं कृतम्‌ । अहिंसासाधुहिंसेति श्रेयान्‌ धर्मपरिग्रह:

Transliteration

lokayātrārtham eveha dharmapravacanaṁ kṛtam | ahiṁsā sādhuhīṁseti śreyān dharmaparigrahaḥ ||

Translation

Арджуна сказал: «Здесь учение о дхарме изложено именно ради поддержания хода мирской жизни. Когда возникает дилемма — соблюдать ахимсу при любых обстоятельствах или применить насилие против злодеев, — лучшим будет избрать то действие, которое утверждает и защищает дхарму».
