ये नृशंसा दुरात्मान: प्राणिप्राणहरा नरा: । उद्बवेजनीया भूतानां व्याला इव भवन्ति ते
ye nṛśaṃsā durātmānaḥ prāṇiprāṇaharā narāḥ | udvejanīyā bhūtānāṃ vyālā iva bhavanti te ||
Бхишма сказал: Люди жестокие и злые сердцем, отнимающие жизнь у живых существ, становятся для всех тварей предметом страха и отвращения — как ядовитые змеи. Наставление таково: насилие, рожденное жестокостью, отрывает человека от нравственного сообщества; такая жизнь делает его повсеместно страшным, а не почитаемым.
