अहिंख्र: सर्वभूतेषु सत्यवाक् सुदृढव्रत: । स चकार यथाकालमाहारं पतितै: फलै:
ahiṁsraḥ sarvabhūteṣu satyavāk sudṛḍhavrataḥ | sa cakāra yathākālam āhāraṁ patitaiḥ phalaiḥ ||
Бхишма сказал: Он стал ненасильственным ко всем существам, принял обет правдивой речи и твёрдо соблюдал своё обещание. В надлежащее время он питался лишь плодами, упавшими сами собой.
