ऋषिसमागमः — युधिष्ठिरस्य शोकवर्णनम्

Sage Assembly and Yudhiṣṭhira’s Articulation of Grief

अन्ये च वेदविद्वांस: कृतप्रज्ञा द्विजातय: । गृहस्था: सनातका: सन्‍्तो ददृश: कुरुसत्तमम्‌,इनके अतिरिक्त अनेक वेदवेत्ता एवं पवित्र बुद्धिवाले ब्राह्मण, गृहस्थ एवं स्नातक संत भी वहाँ आकर कुरुश्रेष्ठ युधिष्ठिससे मिले

anye ca vedavidvāṁsaḥ kṛtaprajñā dvijātayaḥ | gṛhasthāḥ sanātakāḥ santaḥ dadṛśuḥ kurusattamam ||

Вайшампаяна сказал: «Помимо уже названных, пришли туда и многие знатоки Вед — ясномыслящие “дваждырождённые”, — а также домохозяева, прошедшие обряд санатака, и добродетельные старцы; и они встретились с лучшим из Куру». Эта картина подчёркивает: после опустошения войны община дхармы — в лице дисциплинированных, учёных и нравственно стойких брахманов — собирается вокруг законного царя, утверждая общественный и моральный порядок советом и самим своим присутствием.
