गान्धारी-प्रशमनम् — Pacification of Gāndhārī and Kṛṣṇa’s Counsel at Hāstinapura
स सव्यसाची गुप्तस्ते विजयी च जनेश्वर । भ्रातृभि: सह राजेन्द्र शूर: सत्यपराक्रम:
sa savyasācī guptas te vijayī ca janeśvara | bhrātṛbhiḥ saha rājendra śūraḥ satyaparākramaḥ ||
Ваю сказал: «Этот лучник, владеющий обеими руками, хранится ради тебя, о владыка людей, и ему суждено победить. Вместе со своими братьями, о лучший из царей, он — герой, чья доблесть истинна и непоколебима».
वायुदेव उवाच
True heroism is marked not merely by force but by dependable, principled prowess—valor that can be trusted (satya-parākrama). The verse also underscores the ethical reassurance that rightful protection and steadfast allies support the righteous in crisis.
Vāyu addresses a king, affirming that the warrior called Savyasācī (Arjuna) is under protection and will be victorious, especially together with his brothers—strengthening morale and confidence amid the war setting of Śalya Parva.
