The Fall of Duryodhana and the Contest of Restraint
तदेवं विजय: प्राप्त: पुन: संशयित: कृत: । महान् प्रयास करके भीष्म आदि कौरवोंको मारकर विजय एवं श्रेष्ठ यशकी प्राप्ति की गयी और वैरका पूरा-पूरा बदला चुकाया गया था। इस प्रकार जो विजय प्राप्त हुई थी
tadevaṁ vijayaḥ prāptaḥ punaḥ saṁśayitaḥ kṛtaḥ |
Ваю сказал: «Так победа и впрямь была добыта; но её вновь ввергли в сомнение. Даже после великого напряжения сил — после того как были сражены Бхишма и другие кaurавские витязи — победа и высшая слава были обеспечены, и вражда была сполна оплачена. Но этот тяжко добытый триумф теперь снова сделан неопределённым».
