वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights unwavering martial resolve: once committed to a righteous or fated course in war, the described figure does not retreat. It reflects the kṣatriya ideal of steadfastness and the intense, almost divine ferocity associated with battlefield duty.
Vaiśampāyana describes a formidable female figure (referred to as “she”) whose power is likened to Rudra’s and who is backed by thirty thousand warriors; her defining trait here is that she never turns back from the battlefield.
