Transliteration

vartamāne mahāyajñe tritasya sumahātmanaḥ

Translation

Вайшампаяна сказал: Пока совершалось великое жертвоприношение благороднодушного Триты, повествование обращается к событиям, разворачивающимся в самой середине того торжественного яджны, где ритуальный порядок и нравственное намерение обрамляют всё, что последует далее.
