Jarā’s Account and the Enthronement of Jarāsandha (जरासंधोत्पत्तिः अभिषेकश्च)
तेन शब्देन सम्भ्रान्त: सहसान्तःपुरे जनः । निर्जगाम नरव्याप्र राज्ञा सह परंतप,परंतप नरव्याप्र! बालकके उस रोने-चिल्लानेके शब्दसे रनिवासकी सब स्त्रियाँ घबरा उठीं तथा राजाके साथ सहसा बाहर निकलीं
tena śabdena sambhrāntaḥ sahasāntaḥpure janaḥ | nirjagāma naravyāghra rājñā saha parantapa ||
Потрясённые тем звуком, люди во внутренних покоях — особенно женщины царского дома — пришли в смятение. В спешке они вышли вместе с царём, о тигр среди людей, о жгущий врагов, откликаясь на громкий плач и шум, поднятый ребёнком.
श्रीकृष्ण उवाच
The verse highlights responsible attentiveness in governance and household life: when distress is heard—especially involving a vulnerable child—the royal household and the king respond immediately, reflecting a duty of care and protection.
A loud sound—understood in context as a child’s crying and commotion—alarms those in the inner palace. The women and attendants, along with the king, rush out at once to see what has happened.
