अध्याय ९ — कर्णस्य प्रहारः, योधयुग्मनियोजनम्, शैनेय-कैकेययोर्युद्धविन्यासः
न ह्ान्यदपि पश्यामि कारणं तस्य नाशने । न हन्मि फाल्गुनं यावत् तावत् पादौ न धावये
na hy anyad api paśyāmi kāraṇaṁ tasya nāśane | na hanmi phālgunaṁ yāvat tāvat pādau na dhāvaye ||
Вайшампаяна сказал: «Я не вижу иной причины его гибели. Пока я не сражу Фалгуна (Арджуну), я не позволю своим ногам бежать с поля боя».
