अध्याय ९ — कर्णस्य प्रहारः, योधयुग्मनियोजनम्, शैनेय-कैकेययोर्युद्धविन्यासः
रथभडज़ो न चेत् तस्य धरनुर्वा न व्यशीर्यत
rathabhaḍazo na cet tasya dharanurvā na vyaśīryata
Вайшампаяна сказал: Если бы дело было не так, его лук не выскользнул бы из рук и не разлетелся бы — тем самым давая понять, что действовали необычайное напряжение битвы и гнёт судьбы, а не слабость или недостаток решимости.
