ते वै निपेतुस्तपनीयपुड्खा द्विधा त्रिधा भीमशरैर्निकृत्ता: । ततो राजन्‌ नागरथाश्चयूनां भीमाहतानां वरराजमध्ये

te vai nipetustapanīyapuḍkhā dvidhā tridhā bhīmaśarair nikṛttāḥ | tato rājan nāgarathāś ca yūnāṃ bhīmahātānāṃ vararājamadhye ||

Санджая сказал: Те стрелы с золотыми перьями пали на землю, рассечённые стрелами Бхимы надвое и натрое. Затем, о царь, среди самых знатных владык рухнули и колесницы, и воины, поражённые Бхимой, — сокрушённые его мощью. Картина показывает, как воинское мастерство способно в миг разрушить гордыню и порыв, напоминая правителям: власть хрупка посреди распри, движимой адхармой.
