स मां समासाद्य नरेन्द्र यत्तः समभ्ययात्‌ सिंहमिव डिपेन्द्र: । अकार्षीच्च रथिनामुज्जिहीर्षा महाराज वध्यतां कौरवाणाम्‌

Transliteration

sa māṃ samāsādya narendra yattaḥ samabhyayāt siṃham iva dvipendraḥ | akāraṣīc ca rathinām ujjihīrṣā mahārāja vadhyatāṃ kauravāṇām ||

Translation

Арджуна сказал: «О царь, приблизившись ко мне, устремлённый к победе, он ринулся прямо на меня — словно владыка-слон, бросающийся на льва. И, о великий царь, он действовал с решимостью спасти колесничих-воинов кауравов, которых уже поражали насмерть».
