खुरशब्देन चाश्वानां नेमिघोषेण तेन च । तेन चोत्कृष्टशब्देन ज्यानिनादेन तेन च
sañjaya uvāca | khuraśabdena cāśvānāṃ nemighoṣeṇa tena ca | tena cotkṛṣṭaśabdena jyāninādena tena ca ||
Санджая сказал: От грохота конских копыт, от ревущего гула колесниц, от громовых боевых кличей и от звона натянутых тетив — в этом всепоглощающем шуме битвы — многих сразили страх и смятение. И тогда Арджуна, Савьясачи, пронзил и рассек их страшными стрелами, подобными ядовитым змеям.
