द्रोणपर्व (अध्याय ११२) — कर्णभीमयोर्युद्धम्, दुर्योधनस्य रक्षणादेशः
Droṇa-parva 112: Karṇa–Bhīma Engagement and Duryodhana’s Protective Order
लघ्वस्त्रश्नित्रयोधी च प्रविष्टस्तात भारतीम् । सूर्योदये महाबाहुर्दिवसश्लातिवर्तते
laghv-astrāśanitra-yodhī ca praviṣṭas tāta bhāratīm | sūryodaye mahābāhur divasaś cātivartate ||
Юдхиштхира сказал: «О дорогой, тот могучерукий герой—быстрый в выпускании оружия и искусный в разных способах боя—на рассвете в одиночку вошёл в войско Кауравов; и вот день уходит.» В этих словах слышится тревожный нравственный подтекст: время ускользает, пока Арджуна, исполняя долг, остаётся глубоко в строю врага, и говорящий измеряет неотложность защиты праведной цели среди хаоса войны.
