Transliteration

sañjaya uvāca | dṛṣṭvā bhīṣmeṇa saṃsaktān bhrātṝn anyāṃś ca pārthivān | samabhyadhāvad gāṅgreyam udyatāstro dhanañjayaḥ ||

Translation

Санджая сказал: О царь, увидев, что его братья и другие владыки сцепились в бою с Бхишмой, Дхананджая (Арджуна), подняв оружие, ринулся прямо на Гангейю Бхишму, сына Ганги. Этот миг являет решимость Арджуны: ради долга на войне выступить против почитаемого старца, даже когда противник несёт тяжесть нравственного и сердечного испытания.
