पुनश्चापि सुसंरब्ध: शरै: शतसहसख्रश: । कृष्णयोर्युधि संरब्धो भीष्मो5थावारयद्‌ दिश:,तत्पश्चात्‌ रोषावेशमें भरे हुए भीष्मने सैकड़ों-हजारों बाणोंकी वर्षा करके युद्धभूमिमें श्रीकृष्ण और अर्जुनकी सम्पूर्ण दिशाओंको आच्छादित एवं अवरुद्ध कर दिया

punaś cāpi susaṃrabdhaḥ śaraiḥ śata-sahasraśaḥ | kṛṣṇayor yudhi saṃrabdho bhīṣmo ’thāvārayad diśaḥ ||

Санджая сказал: И снова Бхишма, пылая яростью, обрушил сотни и тысячи стрел. В самой гуще боя он с неослабным натиском теснил Кришну и Арджуну, так что казалось — он заслоняет и перекрывает все стороны света вокруг них, окружая их бурей метательных стрел.
