बाहुभिश्षचापरे छिन्नैः पार्श्ेषु च विदारिता: । क्रन्दन्त: समदृश्यन्त तृषिता जीवितेप्सव:

Transliteration

bāhubhiś cāpare chinnaiḥ pārśveṣu ca vidāritāḥ | krandantaḥ samadṛśyanta tṛṣitā jīvitepsavaḥ, bhārata |

Translation

Санджая сказал: Другие являлись на глазах—о Бхарата—с отсечёнными руками, с разорванными боками и распоротыми рёбрами; они вопили от муки, изнывали от жажды и всё же цеплялись за жизнь, являя мрачную нравственную цену войны, где инстинкт выживания не гаснет даже среди полного разорения.
