Educational Q&A

The verse underscores the overwhelming majesty of the Supreme’s cosmic manifestation: even the highest classes of gods and perfected beings are struck with awe. Ethically, it frames humility and reverence as the proper response to a reality that transcends ordinary power and status.

Arjuna, beholding the divine universal form, reports that all orders of celestial beings—gods, semi-divine hosts, and perfected sages—are watching in amazement. His words amplify the scale of the revelation and his own growing reverential fear and wonder.
