Renunciation and the Discipline of Action
सम्बन्ध-- यहाँ यह जिज्ञासा होती है कि शास्त्रविह्ित यज्ञ
yajñārthāt karmaṇo 'nyatra loko 'yaṁ karmabandhanaḥ | tadarthaṁ karma kaunteya muktasaṅgaḥ samācara ||
Кроме действий, совершаемых ради яджны (жертвоприношения), этот мир связывается узами кармы прочими делами. Потому, о сын Кунти, совершай должное дело ради той яджны, свободный от привязанности, и исполняй его как следует.
अजुन उवाच
Action becomes non-binding when it is done as yajña—an offering aligned with sacred order and duty—without personal grasping for results. Actions driven by self-centered aims create karmic bondage; therefore one should work with detachment and an offering-attitude.
In the battlefield dialogue, Krishna is instructing Arjuna on how to act without being trapped by the consequences of action. He reframes duty as sacrificial service: Arjuna should perform his prescribed responsibilities without attachment, thereby avoiding karmic entanglement.
