Санджая сказал: «О царь, как лодку на воде закручивает и носит, когда её бьют порывы ветра, так и войско Пандавов — теснимое в бою теми высокодушными воинами — пришло в смятение и металось во многие стороны».

The verse highlights the fragility of even a mighty force when coordination and morale are broken: in war, momentum and psychological pressure can scatter an army like a boat driven by wind. Implicitly it warns rulers that outcomes depend not only on valor but also on steadiness, leadership, and the shifting ‘winds’ of circumstance.
Sañjaya reports to King Dhṛtarāṣṭra that the Pāṇḍava forces, being heavily pressed by noble and powerful warriors on the battlefield, are thrown into disarray and driven about in many directions, compared to a boat spinning on water under strong gusts.
