अथवाभ्यर्थनामिन्द्रो न करिष्यति कामत:

Transliteration

athavābhyarthanām indro na kariṣyati kāmataḥ

Translation

Иначе Индра не дарует испрошенного дара по одной лишь прихоти. Эти слова подчеркивают, что даже могущественное божество не изображается действующим произвольно: просьбы взвешиваются по мере уместности и в согласии с нравственным порядком (дхармой), а не исполняются лишь потому, что кто-то того желает.
