etad bhavantaḥ sañcintya maharṣer asya dhīmataḥ | agastyasyātitapasaḥ kartum arhanty anugraham ||
The verse emphasizes dharmic conduct toward spiritual authorities: after due reflection, one should extend support and goodwill to a highly austere and wise sage, recognizing that such respect and assistance help sacred duties proceed without hindrance.
Vaiśampāyana urges the assembled listeners to consider the situation and to grant their favor and cooperation to the great sage Agastya, so that his ongoing sacrificial undertaking may be successfully completed without disruption.
