कृच्छेणैव तु तां पार्थो गोविन्दे विनिवेशिताम् । संजहार ततो दृष्टिं कृष्णश्वाप्पपराजित:,जब रथ दूर चला गया, तब पार्थने बड़े कष्टसे श्रीकृष्णकी ओर लगी हुई अपनी दृष्टिको पीछे लौटाया। किसीसे पराजित न होनेवाले श्रीकृष्णकी भी यही दशा थी
kṛcchreṇaiva tu tāṃ pārtho govinde viniveśitām | saṃjahāra tato dṛṣṭiṃ kṛṣṇaś cāpy aparājitaḥ ||
Вайшампаяна сказал: лишь с великим трудом Партха (Арджуна) отвёл взгляд, прикованный к Говинде (Кришне). И сам Кришна — непобедимый для всех — был в том же состоянии, с усилием заставляя себя отвернуться. Эта сцена являет глубину их связи: даже сильнейшие на миг оказываются побеждёнными — не врагом, но любовью, долгом и болью разлуки.
