Sāttvika-vṛtta-kathana (Brahmā on the Conduct of Sattva) — Chapter 38

ऊर्ध्वस्रोतस इत्येते देवा वैकारिका: स्मृता: । सत्त्वगुणसम्पन्न महात्मा स्वर्गवासी देवताओंकी भाँति ईशित्व

Ūrdhvasrotasa ity ete devā vaikārikāḥ smṛtāḥ | sattvaguṇasampannaḥ mahātmā svargavāsī devatāvat īśitva-vaśitva-laghimādi mānasikāḥ siddhīḥ prāpnoti | sa ūrdhvasrotaḥ vaikāriko deva iti manyate |

Ваю сказал: «Тех, кого называют “устремлёнными вверх потоками”, помнят как богов Вайкарика (Vaikārika). Великая душа, наделённая качеством саттвы и пребывающая на небесах, достигает—подобно божествам—умственных совершенств, таких как владычество (īśitva), власть-обуздание (vaśitva) и лёгкость (laghimā) и прочих.
