अलर्कोपाख्यानम् — Indriya-Nigraha and Yogic Victory

Mahābhārata 14.30

इस प्रकार श्रीमह्याभारत आश्वमेधिकपरवके अन्तर्गत अनुगीतापर्वमें ब्राह्मणगीताविषयक उनतीसवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ

indriyāṇi jaghānāśu bāṇenaikena vīryavān | yogenātmānam āviśya siddhiṃ paramikāṃ gataḥ ||

Могучий быстро поразил чувства «единственной стрелой» — дисциплиной йоги. Войдя в Атман через йогическое погружение, он достиг высшего совершенства — освобождения. Этот стих утверждает: внутренняя победа — величайшая; владычество над чувствами посредством сосредоточенной медитации приводит к мокше, а не к мирскому торжеству.
