Transliteration

mahādānāni viprebhyo dadatām aurdhvadehikam | bhīṣma-karṇa-purogāṇāṁ kurūṇāṁ kurusattama

Translation

Вайшампаяна сказал: «О лучший из куру, герои рода Куру — во главе с Бхишмой и Карной — раздавали брахманам великие дары, совершая обряды и милостыни, связанные с ушедшими (погребальные и посмертные обязанности).»
