सम्मान्यांश्षावमन्यन्ते वृद्धान्‌ परिभवन्ति च । एवंविधा नरा देवि सर्वे निरयगामिन:

Transliteration

sammānyān avamanyante vṛddhān paribhavanti ca | evaṃvidhā narā devi sarve nirayagāminaḥ ||

Translation

Они унижают достойных почёта и оскорбляют стариков. О Богиня, люди такого рода — все до единого — предназначены аду; ибо, движимые гордыней и алчностью, они отказываются чтить старших и достойных как учителей и вместо этого обращаются с ними с презрением.
