Transliteration

prottānaka radātāro viṣamairviṣamā narāḥ / karaiḥ karatalaiścaiva lākṣābhairīśvarāstalaiḥ

Translation

Некоторые люди, искривлённые неравными и враждебными обстоятельствами, становятся уродливыми — словно подают, вытянув и окаменив члены. Их руки и ладони страдают, а подошвы кажутся как бы намазанными красным лаком (лакша) — по плоду собственных деяний.
