किमु व्यवहितापत्यदारागारधनादय: । राज्यकोशगजामात्यभृत्याप्ता ममतास्पदा: ॥ ४४ ॥

Transliteration

kim u vyavahitāpatya- dārāgāra-dhanādayaḥ rājya-kośa-gajāmātya- bhṛtyāptā mamatāspadāḥ

Translation

Если это тело в конце концов станет нечистотами или землёй, то какой смысл в принадлежностях, связанных с телом,—жёнах, доме, богатстве, детях и прочем,—а также в царстве, казне, слонах, министрах, слугах и друзьях, служащих опорой для «моего»? Всё это преходяще; что ещё сказать?
