मामुपेत्य पुनर्जन्म दुःखालयमशाश्वतम् । नाप्नुवन्ति महात्मानः संसिद्धिं परमां गताः ॥ ८.१५ ॥
mām upetya punar-janma duḥkhālayam aśāśvatam | nāpnuvanti mahātmānaḥ saṁsiddhiṁ paramāṁ gatāḥ || 8.15 ||
Достигнув Меня, великие души, обретшие высшее совершенство, более не приходят к повторному рождению — этой обители страдания, непостоянной.
मुझे प्राप्त होकर परम सिद्धि को प्राप्त महात्मा पुरुष दुःखरूप और अनित्य पुनर्जन्म को नहीं पाते।
Having reached me, the great-souled do not attain rebirth, a dwelling of suffering and impermanence; they have gone to the supreme perfection.
‘दुःखालय’ को दार्शनिक रूप से ‘संसार’ की असंतोषजनक प्रकृति (duḥkha as existential unsatisfactoriness) के रूप में भी समझा जाता है; ‘मामुपेत्य’ को ईश्वर-धाम-प्राप्ति या ब्रह्म-प्राप्ति—दोनों रूपों में परंपराएँ व्याख्यायित करती हैं।
Frames liberation as release from recurring patterns of dissatisfaction; ‘rebirth’ can also be read as repeated cycles of compulsive reactivity.
