Sua esposa, chamada Māyāvatī—irrepreensível e senhora de toda a casa—fez com que o ofício de supremacia entre os Sūda (servidores) fosse devidamente administrado.
Sage Parāśara (narrating to Maitreya)
This verse highlights ordered stewardship within the royal household, where authority is delegated responsibly—an expression of dharmic governance that mirrors wider social and cosmic order.
By noting appointments and oversight (ādhipatya) even among attendants, Parāśara shows that stable rule depends on structured responsibility at every level, not only on the throne.
Even in genealogical detail, the Purana implies that right order and legitimate authority operate under dharma, ultimately grounded in Vishnu as the sustaining principle (viṣṇu-tattva) of the world’s harmony.
