सर्गभेदाः — अविद्या, स्रोतोभेदाः, नव सर्गाः, देवासुरादिसृष्टिः, वेद-यज्ञप्रादुर्भावः
संक्षेपात् कथितः सर्गो देवादीनां मुने त्वया विस्तराच् छ्रोतुम् इच्छामि त्वत्तो मुनिवरोत्तम
saṃkṣepāt kathitaḥ sargo devādīnāṃ mune tvayā vistarāc chrotum icchāmi tvatto munivarottama
Ó sábio, narraste em resumo a criação dos deuses e dos demais; mas desejo ouvi-la em detalhe de ti, ó o melhor dos ascetas.
