Katharudra
संन्यस्याग्निं न पुनरावर्तयेत् मृत्युञ्जयमावहमित्यध्यात्ममन्त्रान् पठेत् । स्वस्ति सर्वजीवेभ्य इत्युक्त्वात्मानमनन्यं ध्यायन् तदूर्ध्वबाहुर्विमुक्तमार्गो भवेत् । अनिकेतश्चरेत् । भिक्षाशी यत्किञ्चिन्नाद्यात् । लवैकं न धावयेज्जन्तुसंरक्षणार्थं वर्षवर्जमिति । तदपि श्लोका भवन्ति ॥४॥

saṃnyasyāgniṃ na punarāvartayet mṛtyuñjayam āvaham ity adhyātma-mantrān paṭhet | svasti sarvajīvebhya ity uktvātmānam ananyaṃ dhyāyan tad ūrdhvabāhur vimukta-mārgo bhavet | aniketaś caret | bhikṣāśī yatkiñcin nādyāt | lavaikaṃ na dhāvayej jantu-saṃrakṣaṇārthaṃ varṣa-varjam iti | tad api ślokā bhavanti ||4||
Tendo renunciado os fogos sagrados, não se deve retornar (à vida anterior). Deve-se recitar os mantras do adhyātma, dizendo: “trazendo a vitória sobre a morte”. E, após dizer: “bem‑estar a todos os seres vivos”, meditando o Si mesmo como não‑outro (não‑dual), com os braços erguidos para o alto, torna-se aquele cujo caminho é a libertação. Deve vagar sem morada. Vivendo de esmolas, não deve aceitar qualquer coisa. Não deve correr nem por uma só partícula (de alimento), para a proteção das criaturas — exceto na estação das chuvas. Sobre isso há também versos.
Having renounced the sacred fires, one should not return (to the former life). One should recite the adhyātma-mantras, (saying) “bringing the conquest of death.” Having said, “Well-being to all living beings,” meditating on the Self as non-other (non-dual), with arms raised upward, one becomes one whose path is liberation. One should wander without a home. Living on alms, one should not accept just anything. One should not run even for a single particle (of food), for the protection of creatures—except in the rainy season. On this there are also verses.
