वीरभद्र-भैरव-आह्वानम् — Invocation of Vīrabhadra/Bhairava for Cosmic Reabsorption

इदन्तु मत्परं तेजः किं पुनः श्रोतुमिच्छसि । अतो मां शरणम्प्राप्य गच्छ त्वं विगतज्वरः

idantu matparaṃ tejaḥ kiṃ punaḥ śrotumicchasi | ato māṃ śaraṇamprāpya gaccha tvaṃ vigatajvaraḥ

Isto é, de fato, o fulgor supremo estabelecido em Mim. Que mais ainda desejas ouvir? Portanto, tendo tomado refúgio em Mim, segue—livre da febre, livre da aflição.

Shiva identifies His own tejas (divine radiance) as the supreme reality and instructs the seeker to move from mere inquiry to śaraṇāgati—taking refuge in Pati (Shiva). In Shaiva Siddhanta terms, surrender to Shiva dissolves the inner “fever” of bondage and suffering.

The Linga is a primary Saguna support for contemplating Shiva’s formless, supreme tejas. By approaching Shiva as refuge through Linga-worship, the devotee is led from external form to the inner realization of Shiva as the highest light.

Practice śaraṇāgati with steady japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) while meditating on Shiva as tejas in the heart; offer simple Linga-abhiṣeka and conclude with a prayer to be “vigata-jvara”—freed from inner burning (kleshas).
