Lord Shiva (teaching in the Kailāsa-saṃhitā’s philosophical discourse)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Īśāna
Mantra: īśāvāsyam idaṃ jagat
Type: stotra
Role: nurturing
It affirms Īśa (Shiva) as the indwelling Lord and rightful sovereign of the universe—everything exists within His governance and protection, guiding the soul (paśu) toward liberation under Pati’s grace.
If the world is Īśāvāsya—pervaded by the Lord—then Linga worship becomes a concrete focus for recognizing Shiva’s all-pervading presence, training the devotee to see the same Īśa within all beings and elements.
Practice Īśa-bhāvanā (contemplation that all is Shiva’s abode): begin daily worship by offering water/flowers to the Shiva-Linga while mentally surrendering all actions and possessions to Īśa as the protector and inner ruler.
