It teaches that Shaiva worship should begin with purification (saṃprokṣaṇa) and proceed with disciplined offering (homa) and righteous giving (dakṣiṇā), aligning outer conduct with inner devotion so the aspirant becomes fit to receive Shiva’s grace.
In Linga/Saguna Shiva worship, ritual purity and proper offerings support focused bhakti; allocating homa materials and dakṣiṇā is part of honoring the sacred rite and its officiants, treating the worship as service to Shiva present in the ritual.
Perform saṃprokṣaṇa (sprinkling for purification), then prepare homa offerings and give dakṣiṇā; the meditative takeaway is to cultivate cleanliness, sincerity, and gratitude as integral limbs of Shiva-upāsanā.
