Na batalha, os Vānara—como montanhas—tiveram os corpos estilhaçados pelas flechas de Śakrajit; feridos por sua māyā, bradaram roucamente e tombaram como grandes picos fulminados pelo raio de Indra.
In the battle, the Vanaras who were like mountains, became victims of cheating, and were struck by Indrajith's thunderbolt like arrows. Their bodies were broken and shrieking in discordant tones they fell like mountains.
The text points to adharma through māyā (deceptive force): harm inflicted through illusion violates the spirit of truthful, honorable engagement (satya in action).
Vanara warriors are grievously wounded by Indrajit’s unseen, deceptive assault and collapse on the battlefield.
The Vanaras’ endurance and massed strength are implied by the “mountain-like” image, even as they are overwhelmed.
