"Vejam agora Rāma com Lakṣmaṇa: seus corpos rasgados e espalhados por minhas flechas, suas vidas terminadas, jazendo no chão, cada membro eriçado de setas afiadas."
"Now you will see Rama along with Lakshmana also, their body torn into pieces along with their army their life ceased, lying on the ground pierced with arrows all over the limbs."
The verse illustrates the adharma of boastful triumphalism and the fragility of ‘victory’ when it depends on deception or pride rather than truth (satya).
Indrajit speaks boastfully, describing Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa as if slain and strewn with arrows.
Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa’s steadfastness is implied by their centrality as targets; Indrajit’s speech foregrounds pride (mada), a vice opposed to dharmic restraint.
