Rāvaṇa’s Assault on Nīla and Lakṣmaṇa; Hanumān Bears Rāma
प्रविष्टेरजनीचरेन्द्रेमहाबलेदाववदेवशत्रौ ।हरीन् विशल्यान् सहलक्ष्मणेनचकाररामःपरमाहवाग्रे ।।6.59.145।।
praviṣṭe rajanīcarendre mahābale dānavadevaśatrau |
harīn viśalyān saha lakṣmaṇena cakāra rāmaḥ paramāhavāgre ||6.59.145||
Quando o poderoso senhor dos errantes da noite — inimigo de Dānavas e Devas — entrou (em Laṅkā), Rāma, com Lakṣmaṇa, na própria vanguarda da grande batalha, libertou os macacos das flechas, arrancando-lhes os dardos.
After the king of prowlers, the enemy of Danavas and Devas entered Lanka, Rama and Lakshmana also drew out the arrows from monkeys in the forefront of the battlefield and went.
It reflects rājadharma and kṣātra-dharma grounded in compassion: a leader does not treat allies as expendable, but personally safeguards and restores them, even amid danger.
Satya here is expressed as fidelity to one’s commitment: Rāma’s truthful resolve to protect those who took refuge in his cause is shown through concrete action—relieving the wounded and sustaining the righteous campaign.
